1 cup soaked basmati rice
1 large finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
10 cashews
1 tablespoon Refined oil
2 green cardamom
2 cup Water
1 pinch powdered turmeric
1 cup shelled peas
2 finely chopped green chilli
1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
1 tablespoon ghee
2 clove
1 cinnamon
2 pinches salt

Once the cooker is hot enough add cashew nuts and fry well, then keep it aside. Then, add oil to the cooker and fry cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Add onions, green cillies, ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell disappears. Add basmati rice and stir well to mix. Pour 2 cups of water.

Add the green peas, salt, turmeric powder and mix well. Pressure cook until 2 whistles. Remove and wait for the pressure to drop. Open the lid and garnish with the fried cashew nuts. Serve hot with cucumber or onion raita and spicy pickle.
